Wrexham looking to appoint new captainEx-skippers Young & Tozer releasedParkinson mulls over their successorWHAT HAPPENED?
As Wrexham prepare for life in League One next season, questions have been raised over who will be the Red Dragons' next captain. When asked who could succeed Young and Tozer, who were released earlier this month, manager Parkinson kept his cards close to his chest.

The Wrexham boss told The Leader: "Luke [Young] and Ben [Tozer] were both very good captains for us over the last few years. They move on to the next challenge in their careers and we will make a decision on the new captain. Obviously Mulls [Mullin] has had the armband and James McClean has worn the armband as well. I feel we have got some good leadership qualities in the group and that is important in any season. Eoghan O'Connell has captained the team before so there is plenty of leadership potential which is great from our point of view."
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Following back-to-back promotions, Wrexham want to hit the ground running when life in the English third-tier begins in August. While they need to get their recruitment right and have a strong pre-season, choosing the right man to lead them is also important for the Welsh outfit, who are owned by Hollywood duo Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.
