A report by The Telegraph has linked the Magpies with a summer for the 22-year-old. It is believed the club have been tracking Delap since his days at Man City's academy, and would be willing to make a move for the player who will be available for £30m thanks to a release clause should the Suffolk club be relegated.

Newcastle join a long list of suitors. Manchester United are heavily linked with Delap, while Chelsea, Spurs and Everton are also rumoured to be interested. The Magpies believe their ability to offer Delap Champions League football should give them the inside track. The club currently sit in fifth place with five games to go.
