One of the worst things that can be said about Manchester United’s recent 1-0 home defeat against West Brom is that it was as turgid as anything served up under the management of Louis van Gaal.
The memories of the lifeless, insipid and sideways football the Dutchman oversaw are still relatively fresh in the mind of the Old Trafford faithful and for that reason, he will never be a popular figure at the club, despite clinching the 2016 FA Cup just hours before his departure.
It was thought that van Gaal would retire from football for good but it would appear that he has been tempted back to football by an offer he can’t refuse.
Naturally, United fans took an interest in where that club might be and took to Twitter to suggest where van Gaal might end up, nearly two years after he was sacked at Old Trafford.
